Swimming lessons for Willowdale.
Willowdale runs up Yonge Street through Sheppard and Finch, and the pool Double Time Swim Club uses sits just past its northern edge at 155 Hilda Avenue. For most Willowdale families, that is a few minutes straight up Yonge, or a short ride on the Yonge line and a bus.
It is a dense, family-heavy part of Toronto with a lot of condo households and not a lot of nearby pool time going spare — which is exactly why the club runs evening and Saturday-morning lessons rather than weekday afternoons.
Why Willowdale families come north
Willowdale has recreation-centre swimming, and it fills up fast. Registration windows close in minutes and a swimmer can end up in whatever level still had a space rather than the one they needed.
Booking a lesson block at a club removes that scramble. You choose the program and the time, and the swimmer stays with the same coach through the block instead of restarting with someone new each session.
Timing that fits a commute
The 8:00 PM Monday, Wednesday and Friday slots are late enough to work after a downtown commute on the Yonge line, and the 9:00 AM Saturday slot leaves the rest of the weekend intact.
Swimmers training twice a week usually pair a weekday evening with the Saturday morning, which spaces the sessions out well.
From beginner to competitive, in one place
The same club covers a five-year-old who has never put their face in the water and a teenager preparing for a club tryout. That matters over time — a swimmer who progresses does not have to be handed off to a different organisation to keep going.
Adults from Willowdale use the same evening slots, either learning from scratch or fixing a freestyle that has never felt efficient.

See the schedule →At Double Time Swim Club, lessons are sold as monthly blocks: $225 for 4 lessons a month, $325 for 8 and $425 for 12. A 2.5-month season package is $500 for once a week, $750 for twice a week and $1000 for three times a week, which works out lower per month than paying month to month. Private one-to-one lessons are $75–$100 an hour. Prices exclude HST. Sibling and referral discounts apply on top.
See full pricing →Double Time Swim Club teaches swimmers aged 5 and up. From five, most children can follow instruction, hold a focus for a full lesson and retain a correction from one week to the next, which is what makes real progress possible rather than just water play.
See Learn to Swim →Once a week keeps a swimmer moving forward steadily. Twice a week is the point at which technical corrections start to hold between sessions instead of resetting, and it is what most swimmers working on stroke changes should aim for. Three times a week suits swimmers training toward competition or working to a deadline.
Compare lesson blocks →Yes — lessons are sold as monthly blocks of 4, 8 or 12 rather than one lesson at a time, matching training once, twice or three times a week, and larger blocks cost less per lesson. There is also a 2.5-month season package paid as one total, which costs less per month again, and private one-to-one hours booked separately.
