Coaching built for this swimmer.
Every parent wants two things from swimming lessons: a child who is safe in the water, and a child who is actually getting better. The first is usually covered by recreational programs. The second is where most families start looking for a club.
Double Time Swim Club teaches children from age 5, from complete beginners through to swimmers preparing for their first meet.
What changes at a club
The coach sees the same swimmer every session and holds a single focus per lesson rather than covering a checklist. Corrections are chosen based on what that child is doing wrong, not on which level box needs ticking.
You should be able to ask what your child worked on and get a specific answer — the breathing timing, the kick, the entry position of the left hand — rather than 'they did great today'.
Starting from nervous
Children who are frightened of deep water are not pushed into it. Breath control, floating and recovery to standing come first, and confidence is treated as a skill to be taught rather than something a child either has or does not.
Nervous swimmers often progress fastest once that first barrier goes, because nothing is fighting them any more.
Where it leads
Learn to Swim builds the fundamentals. Swimmers who want more move into Pre-Competitive — all four strokes, starts, turns and pacing — without changing clubs.
Siblings can be booked into the same slot, and second and third siblings receive 5% and 10% discounts.

FAQ
Questions.
Double Time Swim Club teaches swimmers aged 5 and up. From five, most children can follow instruction, hold a focus for a full lesson and retain a correction from one week to the next, which is what makes real progress possible rather than just water play.
See Learn to Swim →Arrive a few minutes early so the swimmer is changed and ready on the pool deck at the start time. The first session is used to establish the swimmer's actual level, so expect some easy swimming and a lot of watching from the coach. You will leave knowing what the swimmer is working on next.
A swimsuit, a towel, goggles that fit, and a swim cap for swimmers with longer hair. Flip-flops for the deck are useful. Anything else specific to the venue is covered in the Club Policy.
Read the Club Policy →At Double Time Swim Club, lessons are sold as monthly blocks: $225 for 4 lessons a month, $325 for 8 and $425 for 12. A 2.5-month season package is $500 for once a week, $750 for twice a week and $1000 for three times a week, which works out lower per month than paying month to month. Private one-to-one lessons are $75–$100 an hour. Prices exclude HST. Sibling and referral discounts apply on top.
See full pricing →Yes. A second sibling receives 5% off and a third sibling receives 10% off. New swimmers who come to the club through a referral are eligible for a 15% discount for that semester.
See family benefits →Once a week keeps a swimmer moving forward steadily. Twice a week is the point at which technical corrections start to hold between sessions instead of resetting, and it is what most swimmers working on stroke changes should aim for. Three times a week suits swimmers training toward competition or working to a deadline.
